Fungi time!

People, it's time! The chanterelles are popping all over the island forests. It's free, it's food, it yummy cooked, and it's right at your front door. I filled half an African basket full yesterday - mostly whites - and split them with friends yesterday. They ended up sherry-finished on a fabulous steak dinner, with a lovely Cabernet Sauvignon. Fall is always about good eatin'.
